+Before Continuing, Disable Print Spooling

In order to avoid potential disk space problems while printing, we advise that print spooling be disabled when printing from the Curriculum. With the spooler disabled, pages will print directly to the printer without first being cached on your hard disk by the Print Manager.

To disable spooling, click through the following sequences:

Win 3.1

1. Program Manager
2. Main Group
3. Control Panel
4. Printers
5. In dialog box uncheck "Use Print Manager"
6. Close

Win 95

1. My Computer
2. Printers
3. Choose a printer
4. Menu - File | Properties
5. In dialog box click Details tab
6. Spool Settings...
7. Click "Print directly to printer" (note: this may be grayed out if your printer is shared).

+Setting the CD ROM Drive Letter

The only further setup required is to select your CD Drive letter. This will need to be done only the first time the program is used. The currently loaded CD will be shown on the CD button . When you change CDs you can press the CD button to update it - but you do not need to do so. As soon as you try to view a document, the program will refresh itself if necessary.

+Special Note: Use Caution When Handling the CDs

- keep fingers off the bottom surface of the CDs - do not touch the bottom surface
- if the bottom sides of the CDs become dirty, use a special CD cleaning kit to clean them
- dirty, scratched, or otherwise abused CDs may make files hard to read

+About
